And so she awakes
Her head hurt. Alice blinked open eyes that felt that had shut for ages, squinting hard against the light coming through the open window. Glancing down she realized her clothes were torn and bloody and a hand through her hair told her that wasn't looking too good either.

She pulled up herself up onto shaky legs, grabbing onto a doorknob as she looked around. What had happened? Her house looked..condemed. What little of the furniture remained was tattered and dilapidated and the paint that Frank had so lovingly put up was peeling off the walls. Her throat felt dry and she coughed a few times before thoughts slowly started seeping back to her.

Bellatrix Lestrange and Rodlphus Lestrange. There had been others, but the faces were blurry. And then the pain came back to her and she felt her eyes grow hot at just the memory. "Frank," she whispered, turning quickly to look for him but seeing no one. There had been nothing but pain until blissfully everything had stopped. Had she died?! Was this..was this the afterlife?!

Alice finally got her wits about her, and with a determined look she went to the front door to find it wouldn't budge. She tugged and tugged on it and finally got it free. With a last look around what had once been her house she stepped out into a world that couldn't possibly be England 1981. What happened?
